Yay! You are One!

I cannot believe that it has been one year since you arrived! I can't imagine life without you, but this year has flown by. You are, like your brother and sisters, hard headed and stubborn and want to get your own way. You and Anna have a special little bond and I can hear you two laughing and talking much later than you are supposed to. Mila frustrates you no end because she takes your toys and you hold your own when screaming at her. I think you are saying, "please, I was playing with that play-dough container and would like to keep it on my head, if you don't mind. But I'd prefer that you not hit me on the head with the wooden spoon because the metal bottom makes it very loud. Thank you." I could be wrong. Eddie adores you, when he's paying attention and not playing weird video games on his father's computer. [note: some people have a lot of time on their hands to make some of these little flash games.] Anyway, we are so glad you are here and we love that you have chunky little legs, a strange pointy comb-over, and like those before you, squish peas in your fingers before throwing them over the side of the high-chair. Love, mama

Shut UP!

My sister found this 10-day old kitten today in a box in a parking lot. Seriously? What should we name it?

Jolie is almost one!

So we had a little memorial day, birthday, cake-eating day, get-together. A lot of people not in bathing suits got wet. Some people had trouble figuring out that swim diapers are not quite the same as real diapers. Some people found that out the hard way. Some people are too tired to fix the captions on their photos (yes, he's easting a cake...so?). Some people should be in bed.

Alone for the week

Well, we made it. We had a fun and fabulous week just me and the kids. Last week of school, graduation, other potentially calamitous events, and it all turned out fine. We did have some help on some days (thanks T for keeping Eddie for dinner and introducing him to the wide world of spaghetti sauce which he refuses to eat here because he's "allergic to it"). Anyway, not much beyond transportation, basic hygiene, some laundry, and an f-lot of arts and crafts got done here this week, but I did manage to snap a few shots.

Eddie Graduated!

Yes, from pre-k...but don't you think his college professors will feel like this too?

Who Doesn't?

Jump on their parents' bed backwards? Cut their teeth on a toilet paper roll? Go to bed with a Barbie princess phone, snow white sunglasses, and their pettiskirt tutu?

Yup. That's totally how we roll.

One More

A storyboard-ish format. Not sure yet if it will make the portfolio...but we'll see.

Working on getting the portfolio up...

Haven't had a ton of time this week, but here is a sneak peek. Any comments or suggestions welcome!

Phaunt Actions...

I have had a pretty bad day in the way of getting things done today. Seems like everyone needed something from me and I couldn't get anything I needed to get done, done. I did get one picture played with...Jolie Bear desperately wanted to get on the bike. She settled for ringing the bell. I processed these with some of the free Phaunt Actions (which I like, I'm just getting used to them).

About It's A Duck

Really just the mindless chatterings and photographs of a mom with four kids four years apart. Mostly photographs. Often mindless.
